Liga Mayor top team -San Salvador (13-1) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed fifth ranked L.M.Mons. (5-9) in Santa Ana 85-66 . San Salvador dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to L.M.Mons. 's 22. They outrebounded L.M.Mons. 55-40 including 16 on the offensive glass. San Salvador looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists. Anisleidy Galindo nailed a triple-double by scoring 25 points, 16 rebounds, 12 assists and 4 steals for the winning side and Cuban point guard Arlenys Romero (176-1984) accounted for 18 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Dominican swingman Yenifer Jimenez (163-1999) came up with 20 points, 6 rebounds, 9 assists and 5 steals (made all of her ten free throws !!!) and Katherinne Rivas added 9 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for L.M.Mons. in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. San Salvador have an impressive series of thirteen victories in a row. They maintain first place with 13-1 record. Loser L.M.Mons. keeps the fifth position with nine games lost. They share it with Ahuachapan.
